To help pass the identity checks when applying for our bank account, we recommend doing the following:  

• Make sure you’re in a well-lit environment when taking your selfie and photo of your identity document. 

• Make sure the image is clearly within the camera frame and your fingers aren’t blocking it. 

• Make sure it’s a form of ID that we accept. We accept the following documents: 

• Passport 

• Driving licence from the UK / EU / EEA / Swiss

• National ID card from the EU / EEA / Swiss 

• UK biometric residence permit 

• The name and date of birth needs to match with your Zopa bank account application, and the document mustn’t be expired.
