Pay using your iPhone with Apple Pay

Open the Wallet on your Apple device and drag your Zopa debit card towards the bottom of the screen. When you release the card, you should see a message confirming that this has now become your default card on Apple Pay.  

Apple Pay is a secure way to pay, this is because it doesn’t store your card details on your device or share them with merchants. Instead, it gives you a unique and encrypted Device Account Number, which is used alongside a one-time passcode that’s generated each time you make a purchase.  

 This means your sensitive account information always remains hidden. When you shop online with Apple Pay, the only information that’s shared with merchants is your name, email, billing and shipping addresses, and anything else necessary to process your order.  

Apple Pay is completely free to use in-store, online and in apps. 

Unlike contactless payments, there isn’t a £100 spending cap for Apple Pay. However, the transaction limits that apply to your Zopa bank account will also apply to Apple Pay. You can learn more about these limits here.  

If you lose your device, or it’s stolen, you should log into iCloud and mark your device as lost as soon as possible. This will prevent Apple Pay from being used on that device. If you find your device, you can reinstate it via iCloud, which will also reinstate Apple Pay. 

Apple Pay uses the security features built into your Apple device — including Face ID and Touch ID — which are designed so only you can authorise payments.
