When you’re applying for a Zopa product, we might ask to see a bank statement to:
Complete ID and fraud checks.
Verify your address.
Check your income.
Confirm the bank account you’ve chosen to set up a Direct Debit from belongs to you.
When you upload a bank statement, please make sure:
It’s dated within the last 3 months.
It’s a full bank statement that covers a whole month of transactions, please don’t upload partial statements.
It’s a PDF or clear photo of a printed statement the bank has sent you, with all 4 corners visible
The home address on your statement matches the one linked to your Zopa membership account. Here’s how to check this.
The name on your statement matches the one linked to your Zopa membership account. If it doesn’t, you’ll need to contact our team to update it for you.
If we’ve asked you to provide a bank statement to confirm your account details, please make sure the account number and sort code on your statement match the ones you provided when setting up a Direct Debit.
If we’ve asked you to provide a bank statement to verify your income, please make sure the bank statement you submit is for the account you get your wages or salary paid into.
