You can use your credit card anywhere that accepts Visa, and you don’t need to notify us before doing so.

There aren’t any fees for using your credit card to make a purchase in the local currency (if you’re given the option to pay in the local currency or British pounds, you should choose to pay in the local currency). When paying in the local currency, your transaction will be automatically converted to British pounds using the Visa exchange rate on the transaction date. You can find the Visa exchange rates here.

If you use your credit card to withdraw cash abroad, we’ll charge you a £3 fee and apply interest daily until it’s paid off, just like we do in the UK. Keep in mind that you may be charged additional fees by the local ATM provider.
