Pending payments are transactions you’ve made, but that haven’t been fully processed yet. Here’s a bit more detail.

Debit card transactions

These are usually processed within 24 hours of the transaction taking place. However, even while they’re still pending, we take the amount spent off your available balance to avoid the risk of overspending.

Bank transfers

Most bank transfers will be processed within 2 hours, but there are situations where it can take longer. As with debit card transactions, even while they’re still pending, we take the amount you’ve transferred off your available balance to avoid the risk of overspending.

In some rare instances, the transfer could fail. When this happens, we’ll simply add the amount you tried to transfer back to your available balance.

If you don’t recognise a pending transaction

If you don’t recognise a pending transaction, please contact us. If your details have been compromised, we can help you secure your account by issuing you a new debit card or helping you change your log in details. However, if you’re looking to dispute a transaction, please be aware that we won't be able to do anything until the transaction has been processed.

For more information about disputing transactions, check out our FAQ.
